Patient Flow, Bed Capacity & Discharge
Addressing the 12+ hour bed waits, streamlining discharge and reducing backlogs.
The NHS Hospital Challenges Pavilion is a 2 day event on 7–8 December in London. Hospital staff attend a large national NHS innovation conference, and you have your own booth to showcase and discuss your main challenges. Participation is entirely FREE for all NHS staff (+ free breakfast and lunch, & tea and coffee served all day).
Any groups of NHS staff from hospitals across the UK.
Clinical leads, frontline nurses, IT, estates and procurement — the whole multidisciplinary team, together in one room.
Participating hospitals will focus on these four operational challenges that are universal amongst all hospitals:
Addressing the 12+ hour bed waits, streamlining discharge and reducing backlogs.
Implementing digital triage, solutions to tackle backlog of referral-to-treatment cases.
Protecting infrastructure, medical devices, and patient records.
Relieving clinical administrative burdens and diagnostic bottlenecks, AI integration in workflows.
This model works for you as it has already been established successfully in the NHS.
For example in October 2025, University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust ran a showcase that brought together 500 staff members, from the chief executive all the way to frontline clinical teams. The ideas and feedback they gathered became the starting point for the trust's 2026–2030 digital strategy.
Get practical feedback that you can take straight back to your trust to help guide your procurement and technology roadmap, just like the documented outcome at Derby and Burton.
Your staff get free entry and meaningful conversations based on the problems you want solved.
Your Trust will have a prominent, beneficial presence in the NHS Hospital Challenges pavilion, giving you a chance to put your specific operational hurdles in front of numerous top healthcare solution providers.
How the two days work: you bring the problems, we bring the people who solve them.
Your senior leaders present priority goals from the stage; suppliers respond with what they can actually deliver.
No cold pitches. We match your multidisciplinary team with established businesses who come prepared for your specific departmental problems.
Compare notes with the trusts sharing the pavilion and with NHS executives from across the UK.
