- Decentralized clinical trials (DCTs) are an alternative to traditional clinical trial methods and involve using digital tools to enable remote data collection. These change the research paradigm by removing the site as the “center” of the trial, allow both patients and investigators to participate from their homes. These processes are facilitated with tools such as electronic data capture (EDC) platforms, integration of health wearables and sensors, telemedicine, and trained clinical trial staff. Companies offering services for decentralized trials claim numerous efficiency and cost-saving benefits.

- The sector has experienced significant hype and growth since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic as we see increased revenue, investment, and M&A activity.

- Join us as we discuss the opportunities, trends and challenges of the DCT market with major DCT solution providers and representatives for the pharmaceutical industry.
