Aktiia gets FDA clearance for OTC cuffless blood pressure monitor

The Swiss company’s over-the-counter wrist wearable, which uses optical sensors to gather blood pressure readings, will be available to U.S. consumers in 2026.
eMurmur, an Ontario-based artificial intelligence (AI) startup, has received U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) clearance for its suite of algorithms designed to evaluate heart recordings captured by digital stethoscopes.
