46 suppliers selected for £5bn NHS digital documents framework
Suppliers have been named as part of a £5 billion framework, which is led by NHS London Procurement Partnership and focuses on digital document solutions and storage.
The four-year Digital Documents Solutions framework includes a range of suppliers to cover the scope of digital solutions, and associated hardware or software. The specific areas include: internal print, external print, digital mail room, scanning, document storage, electronic document record management solutions, digital dictation and workflow.
In the contract announcement, the stated aim is to “develop a Digital Document Solutions framework that compliantly allows for both innovation of products within the lifetime of the framework and a comprehensive direct award mechanism for all framework providers.”
The framework has been formed to support NHS trusts, foundation trusts, clinical commissioning groups, GP federations and other health and social care providers within the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland.
Although the framework is not split into ‘lots’, there are nine solution areas highlighted, including: patient administration, electronic health and care records, pathology, radiology, pharmacy; artificial intelligence and automation, patient support, specialist clinical systems, and shared care record systems.
