FDA authorizes Avulux lenses for migraine-related light sensitivity

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has granted Avulux De Novo marketing authorization for its light-filtering lenses designed to decrease the impact of migraine-associated light sensitivity.
The agency granted the company's request on Aug. 21. The authorization establishes a new FDA classification for the precision optical filter.
