North East study uses AI to spot genes linked to chronic health condition that can cause heart attacks

Experts from Newcastle University, with colleagues at Queen Mary University of London, have used state-of-the-art artificial intelligence technology to help them find "genetic patterns" connected to the chronic inflammatory condition psoriasis.
A study suggests that artificial intelligence (AI) showed comparable performance to dermatologists in detecting melanoma, with similar sensitivity and specificity in prospective clinical studies.
Experts often consider melanoma to be the most serious type of skin cancer due to the likelihood of metastasizing.
