NHS ‘passports’ will see new innovations rolled out to cut red tape

A new “one-stop shop” will be launched so that NHS hospital trusts can access the latest technologies more quickly. Products will be given an “innovator passport”, licensing them for use across the country.
The Food and Drug Administration approved a gene therapy for severe leukocyte adhesion deficiency type 1 (LAD-1), an ultra-rare disease that leaves children vulnerable to life-threatening infections.
